Who we are
PortPreview is a product developed and operated under the ElemOps brand. ElemOps is an independent project and is not yet incorporated as a registered company. For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process:
- Waitlist and newsletter emails — when you submit a form.
- Usage analytics — page paths, locale, referrer, and a pseudonymous visitor ID if you accept analytics cookies.
- Server logs — standard HTTP data such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps.
We do not sell personal data.
Why we use your data
- To respond to waitlist and newsletter signups.
- To measure site performance and improve content (only with your consent for non-essential cookies).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Our legal bases under GDPR include consent (analytics cookies, marketing email), legitimate interests (security, aggregated analytics where permitted), and pre-contractual steps (waitlist).
Cookies
We use:
- pp_consent — stores your cookie preference.
- pp_vid — pseudonymous analytics ID, set only if you accept analytics.
Third-party analytics (Plausible or Google Analytics) load only after you accept analytics cookies. You can change your choice anytime by clearing site cookies in your browser.
How long we keep data
Waitlist and newsletter emails are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for the purpose collected. Analytics records are retained up to 12 months in aggregated form.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or other regions with similar laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
We may process data on servers outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date is shown at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
